Health Promotion Clinics and Other Services
This is available by appointment with the Practice Nurse. These clinics enable the doctor to keep a regular check on patients who suffer with high blood pressure.
Childhood Immunisations
Monday 1.30 - 3.30 pm. - These are usually arranged by appointment with the practice nurse.
Diabetic Clinic
Tuesday 8.00 - 10.30 am - by appointment made via the Practice Nurse with a doctor in attendance. Clinic complimented by a specialist Dietician.
Wednesday 2.00 - 5.00 pm - by appointment made via the Practice Nurse. This is a Nurse-led follow-up clinic, with NO doctor in attendance.
Respiratory Clinic
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.00 am - 11.30 noon - by appointment with the Practice nurse or Administrative staff.
This is a nurse-led clinic, for patients with Astham and COPD.
N.B. There is a full family planning and contraceptive service available with all doctors during normal surgery hours.
Ischaemic Heart Disease Clinic
Monday 9.00 - 12.00am and Tuesday 2.00 - 5.00pm - Available by appointment with the Practice Nurse.
Intended to provide optimal monitoring of patients with established heart conditions eg Angina & post-MI.
CholesterolClinic
Tuesday mornings 9.00 --12.00am - Available by appointment with the Practice Nurse.
Providing diet & lifestyle advic,e with the aim to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
Minor Operations
These are arranged by special appointment through your doctor.
Dietician
Tuesday 9.00 - 11.00am - Specialist dietary advice can be arranged by special appointment through your doctor.
Practice Counsellor
Wednesday 9.00 - 12.30am - Arrangements to be made by special appointment through the doctor.
For patients over 18 years of age whose conditions are deemed appropriate for counselling.
Usually domicillary based, and made by direct appointment with the MIdwife.
Occasionally the midwife may make arrangementsto see you at the surgery, on a Thursday afternoon 12.45 - 3.00 pm.
If you require a pregnancy test please consult your doctor or practice nurse at the surgery.
Child Health Surveillance and Postnatal Clinic
Friday 2.00-4.00p.m. - Appointment made via the Health Visitors. Postnatal examinations for mums and developmental checks are performed in this clinic by special arrangement with the Health Visitors.
Dr. Carr and Dr. Ajayi have been approved onto the Child health Surveillance register.
